Multi-channel coverage of the charity event could win the prestigious award in July.
Live coverage of the second edition of Match For Hope, held at Doha’s Stadium 974, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Broadcast Digital Awards 2025.
The charity match’s coverage across multiple channels has been nominated for the “Best Sports or Live Event Coverage” category in the award ceremony scheduled to take place on July 2.
British digital broadcast company Strong Watch Studios’ work for “Match for Hope, Chunkz, ishowSpeed’s YouTube, Instagram & TikTok” has earned the company the nomination, according to Broadcast Now’s nomination page.
The match on February 14 was broadcast on AlKass and beIN Sports in Arabic and English, respectively. Chunkz and AboFlah’s YouTube channels also streamed the match live. ishowSpeed’s live stream was in action throughout the game, as well as the build-up.

The event’s extensive coverage resulted in more than QAR 38 million (equivalent to $10.7m) raised to support out-of-school children’s education through Education Above All’s various initiatives.
Organised by Q Life, the event also featured American rapper Macklemore’s first performance in Doha, while Syrian singer Rasha Rizk performed before the kick-off.
Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and retired football stars Thierry Henry, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Del Piero, David Silva and Andres Iniesta featured in the 2025 edition in addition to other influencers and internet personalities, much like its previous edition.
The inaugural edition in 2024 managed to raise QAR 32 million ($8.8m) and supported more than 70,000 children across Palestine, Mali, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sudan, and Tanzania.
