Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani, highlighted Morocco’s approach to public-private partnerships (PPP) on Sunday at the “P3 Summit for Change” in New York, a high-level gathering that brought together global business leaders and government officials ahead of the UN General Assembly, Morocco’s press agency (MAP) reported.
The summit was convened to explore strategies to strengthen PPPs as engines of growth and innovation. It featured participants including the Presidents of Togo and Sierra Leone, African business leader and CAF President Patrice Motsepe, and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.
Ambassador Amrani presented Morocco’s model as one rooted in credibility, determination, and an inclusive growth agenda. He highlighted that in Morocco, the private sector plays a central role in driving national development rather than acting solely as a supporting partner.
Amrani pointed to reforms led by King Mohammed VI, which created a favorable environment for business through tax incentives, competitive industrial clusters, and strong investment protections. These measures, he said, have positioned Morocco as a natural hub for international companies looking to expand into Africa, Europe, and the Atlantic region.
“Morocco is more than a stable partner — it is a land of opportunity,” Amrani said, explaining that the country offers a successful example of how political vision, institutional commitment, and entrepreneurial dynamism can work hand-in-hand to foster shared prosperity.
