Not all industries benefited. Transport equipment output tumbled 14.5%, while apparel, leather and footwear, and textile manufacturing declined 2.9%, 7.3%, and 2.3%, respectively.
Mining production jumped 9.2%, fueled by a 9.5% increase in miscellaneous extractive products and a marginal 0.2% rise in metal ore output. Electricity production expanded by 6.0% over the period.
For the full year, compared to 2023, extractive industries soared 21.0%, manufacturing output (excluding petroleum refining) climbed 5.4%, and electricity generation advanced 1.5%.
