Morocco will compete in Group A, along with Zambia, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the group stage.
The announcement comes on the heels of an intensive training camp in Maâmora, where the team prepared rigorously for the tournament.
Vilda based his selection on the performances observed during this final training stage, opting for the most competitive players. Key veterans such as Captain Ghizlane Chebbak, playmaker Fatima Tagnaout, and goalkeeper Khadija Er-Rmichi headline the squad.
As part of their preparations, the Atlas Lionesses have recently played friendly matches against Cape Verde and Malawi, securing convincing wins with scores of 1–0 and 4–1, respectively.
