South Korea and Morocco have agreed to work closely toward the early launch of talks on a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA), Seoul’s Trade Ministry said Wednesday, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
Korea’s trade minister, Yeo Han-koo, and Morocco’s Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Omar Hejira, discussed the plan during a virtual meeting, according to the ministry. The two officials agreed that a CEPA could help expand economic cooperation between the two countries.
Yeo said the agreement would help South Korean companies diversify their business activities and expand trade with Morocco.
