Indian airlines are ramping up efforts to operate following the U.S. and Israel’s military action in Iran and the ensuing closure of airspace in the Middle East region.
Air India said in an X post on Wednesday that while most of its operations to the Middle East continue to be suspended until the end of March 5, it has commenced scheduled operations on a total of three round-trip flights to Saudi Arabia, including one on the Delhi-Jeddah route and two on the Mumbai-Jeddah route starting Thursday. The airline also said it plans to operate an additional service on the Mumbai-Dubai-Delhi route. Air India will also be adding capacity to its flights to Toronto, Frankfurt and Paris’s Charles de Gaulle airport between March 5 and 11.
