Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced that it will launch a direct flight between Casablanca and Los Angeles on June 7, 2026. As the first nonstop air link between Africa and the US West Coast, the new route is a game-changer. The flight will take just 12 hours. Responding to soaring demand for travel across the continents, RAM will operate the route three times a week.
The flight will be scheduled from Casablanca on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with departures at 4:00 a.m. and arrivals in Los Angeles at 8:20 a.m. Flights from Los Angeles will leave at 10:20 a.m. and land in Casablanca at 5:25 a.m. the next day.
The launch date is well-timed for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The service is primarily targeting the Moroccan and African diaspora and seeks to attract American tourists, business travelers, and fans headed to the World Cup.
RAM’s CEO Hamid Addou, said opening the route is more than just a new destination. He called it a landmark moment for the company and for African air travel. The new route reflects the national carrier’s goal to connect Morocco with major economic, tourist, and cultural hubs. It will solidify RAM’s footprint in the American market, one of the world’s most vital.
Addou explained that the project will boost the kingdom’s global outreach and make Morocco a more appealing destination for American tourists, as the airline plays a central role in powering the national tourism sector.
The direct link will cement Casablanca’s airport as a critical continental hub by connecting Africa with Europe and America. This also strengthens Royal Air Maroc’s position in long-haul aviation networks.
RAM flights will use Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The Dreamliners offer excellent comfort and top-tier performance. They feature the latest technology, high-quality services, and diverse in-flight entertainment.
This new service bolsters RAM’s North American network. The carrier already flies to New York, Washington, and Miami. It also offers routes to Montreal and Toronto. The airline expects a significant jump in flight frequency on strategic long-haul routes like São Paulo, Miami, and Dubai.
The new route underscores Royal Air Maroc’s role as a key player in Africa and enhances Morocco’s status as a global air connector, as the country prepares to co-host the FIFA World Cup 2030 with Spain and Portugal.
Tickets are available via Royal Air Maroc’s website, call centers, sales offices, and travel agencies.
