Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will launch two new direct domestic flights from the Marrakech-Menara Airport in October, expanding customers’ access to Morocco’s southern cities of Laayoune and Dakhla, the carrier announced in a statement.
The airline said the first direct flight to Laayoune will begin on October 10. Flights will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. According to the announced flight schedule, flight AT 1475 will leave Laayoune (EUN) at 4 p.m. and land at Marrakech (RAK) at 5:20 p.m., while flight AT 1476 will depart Marrakech at 6:10 p.m. and land in Laayoune at 7:40 p.m.
Direct flights from Marrakech to Dakhla will begin on October 13 and run twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Flight AT 1497 will leave Dakhla (VIL) at 3:10 p.m. and land in Marrakech at 5 p.m., while flight AT 1496 will take off from Marrakech at 5:50 p.m. and arrive in Dakhla at 8 p.m.
Both routes will be operated using Embraer 190 aircraft, which have a capacity of 96 passengers divided into two classes.
Cutting the travel time by more than half, RAM said these new flights reflect its plan to strengthen domestic connectivity and respond to the travel needs of passengers by linking Marrakech to Morocco’s southern provinces with regular service.
