”At the SATEC Group, we help companies in their global digitization process. Digitalization is not just about technology: it is also about talent, vision, and support. Morocco has exceptional digital and technological talent, and the SATEC Group’s challenge is to support it so that it continues to grow and stand out internationally. That is why we have opened a Technical Training Center and an Official Pearson VUE Certification Center in Tetouan, which offers companies highly trained professionals who are prepared for the challenges of the future.”

Transferring knowledge and expertise to Morocco
Mario Garrido, director of Satec Global Services, recalled that the Satec Group has been in Morocco for almost 20 years, with a presence through the company Intelcom in Rabat and Casablanca and Satec Global Services in Tetouan.
“The goal is to transfer all this knowledge and expertise we have to Morocco, because we know that Morocco faces a very important challenge in 2030 and we want to support Morocco on this path of digital transformation, as well as in the area of cybersecurity, which are important factors in the digitalization environment,” Garrido explained.
“SATEC GROUP is a Spanish multinational with 1,600 employees worldwide. Between Intelcom and SATEC Global Services in Morocco, we have 220 employees, and we are committed to local employment and training in order to achieve a nationally and internationally qualified workforce, thanks to the internationally recognized Pearson VUE certification center, which has the highest number of certifications from the major players in the technology and digitization market.

Digitalization: an obligation rather than an option for Morocco
In his statement to Atalayar, Sergio Afonso, director of the Cybersecurity Department at the Satec Group, emphasized that today digitalization is no longer an option but an obligation for Morocco, adding that the SATEC Group supports customers both in Morocco and throughout Africa.
“Between now and 2030, Morocco will go through a period where digitalization is a vision and anticipation that takes into account the excellent talent the country has. Satec can support a company with everything it needs from start to finish through all the digitalization and cybersecurity services it has available,” said Afonso.
“Being prepared for cyberattacks is key in all sectors, and the more we anticipate them, the fewer problems we will have. Furthermore, in a country like Morocco, where training and digitization are key to implementing real guidelines, we are here to promote that ambition on the technological side,” concluded Sergio Afonso.

During the presentation of the Pearson VUE Training and Certification Center by Najlaa Elakel, a round table discussion was held entitled “Cybersecurity and digitization: facing the challenges of the future,” moderated by Mounia Chbicheb, Technical Director of Satec Global Services, with the participation of Ilyass Ankouz, expert consultant in cybersecurity; Kamal Benmekki, Director of Business Development at Intelcom, and Sergio Afonso,Director of Cybersecurity at Satec.
