The Moroccan Association of Exporters (ASMEX) is hosting a B2B mission in London from October 6-10, aimed at promoting “Made in Morocco” products in the British market while enhancing trade relations between Morocco and the UK. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investment and Exports (AMDIE), includes participation from a variety of Moroccan businesses in sectors such as agri-food, fish, fruits and vegetables, textiles, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
To help Moroccan exporters navigate the British market, MSI has coordinated meetings with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the West London Chamber of Commerce (WLC). Frances Fawcett, an international trade specialist at LCCI, expressed her willingness to assist Moroccan companies looking to export to the UK, highlighting the mutual benefit of the association agreement between the two countries. She noted that Moroccan products enjoy preferential rates in key sectors like textiles, fertilizers, electrical cables, and agriculture.
Additionally, David Billingsby, an international trade advisor with WLC, revealed plans for a mission to Morocco in November, featuring representatives from around ten companies, including both large enterprises and SMEs. This delegation will visit Casablanca and Dakhla, aiming to strengthen business exchanges and explore opportunities in Morocco as a hub for North African markets.
The objectives of the ASMEX mission to London focus on fostering mutually beneficial partnerships based on commercial and industrial synergies. The mission will comprise site visits to industrial locations and logistics platforms, numerous B2B meetings, and a workshop dedicated to promoting Moroccan brands in the UK market.
